Puree the strawberries up to 8 pieces. Mix the mascarpone with the yogurt until smooth. Stir in the vanilla sugar.
Fill 4 glasses alternately with mascarpone cream and strawberry puree. Finish with a layer of strawberry puree. Slip a heaped teaspoon of mascarpone cream on top and place a strawberry on top.
Cut the 2nd strawberry halfway from the stem and clamp it on the edge of the glass. Chill the cream for at least half an hour.
Before serving, sprinkle with chocolate shavings or dust with cocoa powder, if you like.
Tip: The mascarpone dream also tastes good with pureed apricots, raspberries, nectarines or other seasonal fruits.
