Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs. In the meantime, cut the herring, onions and pickles into small cubes and mix them together. Add sunflower oil and finally cut the hard-boiled eggs into small pieces and add them. I prefer 3 eggs because the hard-boiled egg yolk makes the salad nice and creamy. I also make some pickle water.
  2. In no case spice. The matjes from the pack is salty enough. If you let the salad stand for a day, it will pull through well. For some, however, it is a little too salty.
  3. The salad brings us Rügen and the holiday feeling home. This goes well with jacket potatoes.
