Instructions

    1. Toast the coarsely crushed grains and bay leaves in a soup pot SHORTLY until dry. Allow the onion to dry. Pour in water, add all ingredients. The meat should be barely covered. Boil and simmer on a low setting (electric stove) for approx. 90 minutes.
    2. That makes a great meat broth that can be used universally.
    3. The meat can be processed very well (see recipe Meat Salad).
