Instructions

  1. Cut the honeydew or cantaloupe melon in half and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut each half in half, then cut each quarter in half again to create 8 melon pieces total.
  3. Refrigerate the raw ham and melon pieces until ready to serve.
  4. Arrange the melon pieces on a platter with leaf lettuce around them.
  5. Fold the ham slices in half.
  6. Place one folded ham slice on each melon piece and secure with a toothpick.
  7. For vegetarian guests, serve melon pieces and lettuce without ham.
