Mexican fajitos with beef is a rather spicy and very hearty dish, reminiscent of shawarma in appearance. Marinated meat is stewed with vegetables and served in pita bread. Try it, you will like it!
Place the beef in a bowl, add 3 minced garlic cloves and salt. Pour 100 ml of lemon juice over, stir, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Cut the bell pepper into strips.
Cut the onion into half rings.
Mix the bell pepper and onion strips, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and salt, pour wine vinegar and soy sauce over them, stir, and let sit for 1 hour.
Heat 3 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and fry for 5-7 minutes until browned.
Chop the tomatoes.
Add the chopped tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of cumin, and half a chili pepper to the beef. Simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
Lay out a piece of lavash, place some of the beef mixture on one side, top with the pickled peppers and onions, and wrap tightly. Repeat with the remaining lavash and filling.
