Minced Boiled Meat Instructions

  1. Wash the beef (or pork) and place in a saucepan.
  2. Cover with cold water, bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for about 60 minutes until the meat is tender.
  3. Remove the meat and let cool until safe to handle.
  4. Cut the cooled meat into small cubes and pass through a meat grinder, or chop finely on a cutting board.
  5. Peel, wash, and cut the onion into small cubes.
  6. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter (or vegetable oil).
  7. Add the diced onion to the hot pan and fry for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  8. Add the ground meat to the pan.
  9. Mix the onions and meat together and fry for 4–5 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. If desired, add 2–3 tablespoons of beef or pork broth to make the minced meat more moist.
  11. Serve hot.
