- Fry the minced meat in oil or margarine until crumbly and season well, stirring occasionally until a brown crust is formed.
- Dice the onion and fry with it. Cut the mushrooms into slices and add. Fry for about 10 minutes, stirring, until everything is well seared.
- Add the tomato paste and mix well. Sweat for about 2 minutes. Add flour and stir vigorously. Add the water and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.
- If the sauce is a little too stiff, pour in a little more water and bring to the boil. Season to taste and season again if necessary.
- This goes well with spaghetti or pasta in all variations. The sauce can also be used for lasagna.
