Dice the butter into small pieces, measure out the remaining ingredients, add and stir well. There shouldn`t be any large lumps of butter left, as these would appear as bright spots later when the cake is ready.
Butter a Guglhupf form and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the batter and bake the cake for 1 hour.
Decorate the finished cake with powdered sugar or icing as desired.
