Most Delicious Curry Beef Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into small cubes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef and fry until lightly browned on the outside (about 4-5 minutes).
  4. Cover the pot, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. While beef cooks: finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
  6. Add the onion and carrot to the beef and stir well.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.
  8. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  9. While beef continues cooking: finely grate the garlic and ginger root.
  10. Add the water, garlic, ginger, dry herbs (roughly 1-2 teaspoons of dill and celery combined, and about 1/2 teaspoon of other herbs), and lemon juice, then stir well.
  11. Simmer for 40 minutes until the beef is very tender and nearly falling apart.
  12. Stir in the curry seasoning and flour, mixing well to combine.
  13. Slowly pour in the cream and/or milk (about 500 ml total), stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  14. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  15. Remove the pot from heat and let the curry sit undisturbed for 10 minutes.
  16. While the curry rests: cut white bread into cubes and fry in vegetable or olive oil over medium heat until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes, using about 3 slices of bread per serving).
  17. Taste the curry and adjust the seasoning—add more salt or curry powder if needed.

YOUR DISH IS READY! BON APPETIT! 🙂
