Clean the beans and cut into strips. Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut into slices or pieces. Dice the onion.
Heat the fat in a saucepan, add the bacon and fry briefly. Reduce the heat a little, add the onions and sauté briefly. Then add the remaining vegetables and sauté briefly. Then add the broth and bring to a boil. Let everything simmer for approx. 20 minutes, after approx. 15 minutes add the savory. If necessary, season the soup with salt and pepper.
Serve hot.
Tip: If you like, you can add some cream at the end and warm it up briefly, this gives a creamy taste. Mettwurst sausages are also suitable as an additional insert.
