Instructions

  1. Remove only the stem from the apples. Eight the apples, cut them into pieces and place them in the ceramic pot of the slow cooker.
  2. Add all other ingredients, stir thoroughly once, close the lid and set on high. After 2 hours stir again and put the lid on low for 1 more hour.
  3. After this time, add brown sugar to the mulled wine, I liked it the way it was.
  4. Place a large bowl with a hair strainer in the sink and strain the mulled wine over it. If you want it to be clearer, you can filter it a second time through a cheesecloth, whereby the suspended particles that are pulled out of the mulled wine contribute significantly to the taste.
  5. Fill the mulled wine in bottles and look forward to winter now. My production resulted in approx. 750 ml apple mulled wine.
  6. Before warming it up and enjoying it, put 2 quarters of half an organic lemon slice into the glass and pour in the hot mulled wine.
