Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the lemon and peel the peel with a peeler so thin that there is nothing white on it. Put the bowl together with the wine and the spices in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 2 hours.
  2. Boil 4 preserving jars (or twist-off jars with a capacity of 250 ml) including lids in bubbling water for 3 minutes, allow to dry.
  3. Remove the spices from the wine and distribute them between the glasses. Stir the orange juice and preserving sugar into the wine with a wooden spoon. Bring to the boil and let simmer for 3 minutes. Skim and distribute on the glasses. Close the jars and place on the lid for 10 minutes. Turn over and let cool.
