Peel the celery bulb (or wash it well) and cut into slices. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the celery slices in it over medium heat. Turn once.
The cooking time depends on the thickness of the slices and the desired consistency. Rough guideline: About 4 minutes on each side for a 1 cm thick pane. If a lid is put on, it goes faster. However, the celery does not get such a nice color because it is then mostly steamed.
