Mix the ingredients for the dough into a yeast dough and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
During this time, use the ingredients for the filling to make the marzipan filling. To do this, chop the marzipan mixture into pieces and puree with sugar and cream in a blender, then stir in the remaining ingredients.
Knead the yeast dough again briefly and then roll it out into a 30 x 60 cm sheet. Spread the marzipan and almond mixture on top and roll up the plate from the long side. Shape the roll into a pretzel with the seam down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with the cream and cut in a zigzag at the top so that the filling comes into its own.
Let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 180 ° C fan oven or 200 ° C top / bottom heat for 25 - 30 minutes. If necessary, cover towards the end so that the pretzel doesn`t get too dark.
We like our pretzel with frosting and sliced almonds as a topping, but that`s a matter of taste.
