Peel the oranges, also cutting away the inner skin and removing the pieces of fruit. Put in a bowl and cover with sugar and rum. Mix everything carefully and let it steep.
In the meantime, prepare the pudding according to the package insert and let it cool down. Stir the quark into the pudding. Stir in some of the juice from the oranges. Pour the cream into dessert bowls and pour the oranges over them. Decorate with chocolate shavings if necessary.
