Cut the peppers, zucchini and onions into large pieces, about 2 € in size, or the zucchini into 5 mm thick slices. Fry together with the bacon in oil that is not too hot for about 5 minutes, until the ingredients start to give off liquid. Add the sour cream and tomato paste and possibly a little more water so that a slightly creamy sauce forms. Switch to a low flame. Season to taste with salt, pepper and chilli and simmer until it is firm to the bite.
Goes very well with meat or fish and is a very cheap vegetable side dish, especially in summer. Cream or crème fraiche can also be used instead of the sour cream. Not sour cream, however, because it curdles during preparation.
