Cook the pasta in sparkling salted water until al dente.
Let a frying pan get very hot. Pluck the ham into strips and fry in a hot pan. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic and roast. Turn off the heat! Add 100 g cream cheese to the pan and let it melt slowly. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Add about 4 tablespoons of pasta water to the sauce and stir to a creamy consistency. Chop 1 bunch of fresh basil and add to the sauce.
Drain the pasta, add to the sauce and stir in well.
When serving, sprinkle some freshly grated parmesan on top.
