Cook the pasta in salted water according to the instructions on the packet.
Let the peas thaw. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the ham into cubes.
Heat the butter. Sweat the onion and garlic in it until translucent. Add diced ham and peas and fry for 2 - 3 minutes over medium heat. Stir in the cream and Gouda cheese and let melt for 5 minutes over a low heat while stirring.
Stir in some sauce thickener. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and lemon juice, rinse off the basil, shake dry, pluck off the leaves and sprinkle on them.
