Place the sloes with anise, cinnamon stick, vanilla pod (cut open), sugar and whole coffee beans in a screw-top jar or something similar. give and fill up with the grain. Let this approach stand for at least 4 weeks (preferably longer). Shake from time to time.
Filter everything through a clean cloth and gently squeeze out the fruit. Dilute to taste with a little water and possibly sugar (a matter of taste, I personally like it undiluted).
