Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the pears, remove the core and dice the pear wedges. Put the pears in a saucepan, add all the ingredients except for the almonds, mix well and let steep for about 1 hour.
  2. Then cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the pear pieces with a slotted spoon so that they don`t boil over completely.
  3. Simmer the syrup for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens. Finally, add the almond sticks and the pear pieces again.
  4. Transfer everything into hot rinsed glasses and turn them upside down to cool.
