Ingredients
- 1 kg pear (s), e.g. Williams
- 500 g preservin suar, 2: 1
- 1 orange (s), untreated, grated peel
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 lemon (s), untreated, grated zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 75 g iner, finely rated
- 1 tablespoon pepper (Szechuan pepper), freshly ground
- 200 g almond sticks

- Peel and quarter the pears, remove the core and dice the pear wedges. Put the pears in a saucepan, add all the ingredients except for the almonds, mix well and let steep for about 1 hour.
- Then cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the pear pieces with a slotted spoon so that they don`t boil over completely.
- Simmer the syrup for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens. Finally, add the almond sticks and the pear pieces again.
- Transfer everything into hot rinsed glasses and turn them upside down to cool.
