Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the tomatoes. Halve the peppers, remove the cores and ribs, wash and cut the halves of the pods crosswise into slices. Peel and dice the onions.
  2. Cut the bacon into cubes and fry in a saucepan until translucent. Add the onion cubes and stir-fry until golden. Add the pepper strips and sauté with the onion cubes for 5 minutes. Then put the tomato quarters in the saucepan, stir in the paprika powder. Season the vegetables with the salt and pepper and cook covered over a mild heat for 30-40 minutes until very soft. Stir occasionally.
  3. LECSÓ goes well with rice and scrambled eggs, omelets or fried Debrecziner or other sausages.
