Peel the garlic cloves and shallot and cut both into thin slices. Divide the goat cheese into 1 cm thick slices. Layer alternately cheese and herbs, garlic, onion and pepper in the glass. Then fill up with good olive oil.
Now the cheese should steep in the refrigerator for at least 3 days.
The cheese tastes excellent as a starter or as a snack with toasted wholemeal bread or garlic baguette.
