Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough according to the recipe given and then roll out approx. 300g in a round shape.
  2. Spread one half with the pizza sauce but leave about 1cm free from the edge. Vary the amount of sauce as you wish. I tend to take a little too much rather than too little. Then the calzone will also be nice and juicy.
  3. Then distribute about 1/3 of the cheese evenly on the sauce, then the boiled ham, then the salami, the pepperoni sausage, the paprika and the pepperoni. Finally, cover with another 1/3 of the cheese.
  4. Now close the dough, so place the unoccupied side over the other and press firmly on the edge.
  5. Spread some pizza sauce on top of the calzone and sprinkle the rest of the cheese over it.
  6. Now place the calzone in the preheated oven for approx. 12-15 minutes at 250 ° C top / bottom heat until the dough is nice and crispy.
  7. Since the calzone takes a little longer to put in than a normal pizza, the cheese becomes a little darker.
  8. Alternatively, you can pull out the calzone again after about 6-7 minutes and then sprinkle the rest of the cheese over it. Then, when the calzone is ready, it has the consistency and degree of browning that you know from a normal pizza.
