Finely chop the onions and let them turn to glass in hot olive oil. Add the tomatoes and bring to the boil. Now mix in the tomato paste and spices and reduce everything for about 25 to 30 minutes on a low flame.
Spread the sauce over small glasses that have been rinsed well with hot water. Close these immediately and place in the preserving kettle. Boil at 90 degrees for about 20 minutes.
The amount makes 14 glasses of 200 ml each and 1 glass is enough for a sheet of pizza.
