Roughly chop the onion, chop or squeeze the garlic according to taste. Sweat both together with the chilli in a pan with a little oil. Then peel the plantains, cut into pieces and add to the pan. Fry at not too high a heat. Add pepper and finally put the peanut paste in the pan and let it melt a little (not the usual peanut butter but real peanut paste). Watch out, because it burns easily! If the paste is liquid, the meal is ready!
A white bread from Africa goes best with it. I think you could use ciabatta or just baguette as a substitute. If you like, you can of course also add rice or another side dish.
