Mix all ingredients very well in a plastic bowl, approx. 10 minutes. Let it steep in the refrigerator for about 6 hours.
Divide the meat into 5 portions and shape the hamburgers, just under 1 cm thick. Fry the hamburgers briefly on the grill or in the steak pan without adding fat on both sides.
For the variant - filled with cheese - put a flat slice of feta cheese in the middle and shape the hamburger, this makes it a little thicker and has to be grilled or fried a little longer.
For the spicy version, finely chopped chilli or ground chilli can be mixed into the batter.
This goes well with fresh white bread and mixed salad.
