Instructions

  1. Wash and core 2 kg of plums and puree completely in the food processor.
  2. Boil 2: 1 together with 1 kg of preserving sugar in a large saucepan.
  3. Add 1/2 bottle of bitter-almond flavor, 250g almond slivers (you can also add chopped almond flakes) and amaretto as desired.
  4. Amaretto can be given a good shot so that the taste comes out well.
  5. Finally, a few strong squirts of lemon juice.
  6. Let the whole thing boil again briefly, pour into jars rinsed with hot water, put the twist-off lid on and let cool upside down.
  7. The amount is sufficient for 7 glasses of 435 ml each.
  8. Enjoy on warm butter toast.
