Instructions

  1. Knead the flour, butter, poppy seeds, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and egg quickly into a dough and leave to rest in a cool place for approx. 1 hour.
  2. Then shape small balls out of the dough and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  3. Make a small indentation with the handle of a wooden spoon.
  4. Then bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes.
  5. Warm the currant jelly slightly and pour it into the recesses of the still hot hussar donuts.
  6. Let cool down well.
  7. Makes about 70 pieces.
