Bring the water with the sugar to the boil, stir in the oat flakes and reduce to a creamy consistency over a low heat. Stir in the poppy seeds and the bitter almond flavor.
The porridge can also be prepared in the microwave; see the recipe porridge in my profile. Of course, any type of milk can be used instead of water, but this is no longer vegan or low-fat, depending on the situation.
