Rub ribs with salt and pepper, fry in hot lard on all sides. Add onion cubes and flour and brown briefly. Deglaze with boiling water (about 1/2 l). Add the spices, tomato paste mixed in a little water and diced cucumber, stew for about 60 minutes. Remove the spices, season again to taste.
Side dish: mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes or pasta, sauerkraut or green salad.
