Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, clean the savoy cabbage, cut both into pieces and boil them together in salted water until soft. Then sieve, whereby the cooking water should be collected.
  2. Mash the potatoes and savoy cabbage with the potato masher until you have a puree. However, pieces may still be present. If the puree is too firm, add the cooking water.
  3. Fry the diced bacon in a large frying pan or saucepan until crispy. Add the puree and mix well. Stir in the butter, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Possibly add cooking water.
  4. This dish tastes very good and is nicely rounded off by the nutmeg. My 3 men love to eat it!
