Grate the potatoes, mix with the flour, salt and spices, dissolve the yeast in warm water and add together with the oil, knead everything well, add a little more flour if necessary, cover and let rise for at least 30 minutes.
Shape bread rolls and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, cover and let rise again for 30 minutes, brush with water and place in the cold oven.
Turn on the oven to 200 degrees and bake until the rolls are golden brown and sound hollow when you tap the underside.
