Halve, core, peel and dice the pumpkin. Boil in a little water until soft, puree and let cool down completely.
Put the thawed vanilla ice cream in a blender, you can also use a hand blender. Add the milk, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, mix everything well and pour into glasses. Whip up some cream, sweeten it if you like. Now place a larger tuff on each glass and serve.
