Instructions

  1. Mix the oil, maple syrup and cinnamon together in a bowl. Add the oatmeal and mix everything until the maple syrup-oil mixture completely covers the oatmeal. Spread out flat on a plate or on a heat-stable, microwave-safe surface and let it turn golden brown in the microwave at 800 watts for 3.5-4 minutes. In the end, be very careful because it quickly turns from golden brown to burnt! Stop and check every 15-30 seconds. The oat flakes should really turn golden brown, otherwise the muesli won`t get crispy.
  2. Then let it cool down. Only then will the muesli become crispy. Takes about 5-10 minutes. Remove from the plate and then the muesli is ready to eat.
  3. You can also exchange part of the oat flakes for coconut flakes, nuts, almonds, flax seeds, etc. Or you can also use other spices, e.g. add vanilla or a little cocoa powder.
