- Wash the radishes and cut straight into slices up to approx. Halfway (DO NOT cut all the way through).
- Turn the radish over and cut into slices again, now at an angle.
- If you`ve done it right, the radish can now be pulled apart like an accordion.
- Now salt the radishes well - also between the cuts - and let them steep (approx. 15 minutes). The salt removes water from the radish.
- In Bavaria they say: The radio has to rean or stop (cry).
- Drain the water and arrange the radishes nicely on a platter.
- In addition, fresh bread, a homemade Obazda`n (Bavarian cheese specialty) and a cold wheat beer are enough.
