Cut the tofu into small cubes and fry in 1 tablespoon oil in a coated pan until golden, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Put the onion and garlic in the pan and fry until golden with the second tablespoon of oil.
Add all the spices, the chickpeas and the tomatoes, simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Turn off the stove, stir in the fried tofu, sprinkle with parsley.
