Instructions

  1. Peel the carrots and cut into thin slices. Put the water and rice in a saucepan, bring to the boil, turn down the power and cook with the lid closed. Finally, season with a little tomato paste, broth and pepper and add a pinch of butter.
  2. This recipe is great for toddlers too, and it will appeal to people with upset stomachs. My mother calls it a plaster for the stomach.
