Remove the chicken giblets, if present, then wash the chicken and pat dry. Put 1 teaspoon of salt in the chicken and rub the outside well with salt and pepper.
Melt the margarine in a saucepan until it foams, then add the paprika powder and stir. Put the chicken in a roasting pan (or large baking dish) and brush with the paprika marinade. Roast in the oven at 200 - 180 degrees for approx. 75 minutes. Turn the chicken once and brush it on several times.
Tip: If you like it a little hotter, add a little chili powder to the marinade.
