Instructions

  1. Steam the onions in butter until translucent.
  2. Pull apart the sauerkraut (if it is too sour, rinse), cut into small pieces and add to the saucepan with its own juice. Simmer until almost done.
  3. Pour in the cream, add the spices, stir, let simmer and season to taste. Thicken a little with cornstarch mixed in cold water if the sauce is too thin.
  4. Maultaschen also taste delicious.
