Pour the dough into a buttered springform pan measuring 28-30 cm.
Spread the cherries (or other seasonal fruit) on the dough and sprinkle with almond leaves.
Place the cake on the middle rack in the oven and bake for 30 - 35 minutes on top / bottom heat. Then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve lukewarm with cream. Depending on the season, you can also use apples, pears, plums or mirabelle plums. But you can also use canned fruit. Of course, the cake also tastes good when cooled.
