Instructions

  1. Beat the egg whites with the mixer until stiff
  2. Mix egg yolks with sugar until frothy. Stir in the vanilla sugar and salt. Mix flour with baking powder and gradually stir together with the milk to form a thick dough. Carefully fold the egg whites under the batter.
  3. Cut out the apples in the middle with the apple corer, peel and cut into finger-thick slices. Dip the apple slices in the batter and fry them in hot oil, not browning on both sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Serve warm. As a main course or dessert.
  5. Tip: before you pull the snow under the dough, let it rest for about 20 minutes.
