Ingredients
- 350 ml milk
- 2 egg (s), including the egg white
- 2 egg (s), including the yolk
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 12 tablespoon flour, heaped
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
- 4 large apples, tart ones
- Cinnamon, for sprinkling
- Sugar, for sprinkling
- Oil, for frying

- Beat the egg whites with the mixer until stiff
- Mix egg yolks with sugar until frothy. Stir in the vanilla sugar and salt. Mix flour with baking powder and gradually stir together with the milk to form a thick dough. Carefully fold the egg whites under the batter.
- Cut out the apples in the middle with the apple corer, peel and cut into finger-thick slices. Dip the apple slices in the batter and fry them in hot oil, not browning on both sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Serve warm. As a main course or dessert.
- Tip: before you pull the snow under the dough, let it rest for about 20 minutes.
