Instructions

  1. Wash and roughly chop 500 g strawberries, then add to a saucepan with 500 ml water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for approx. 8-10 minutes, until it smells strongly and the strawberries are very soft.
  2. Then puree with the hand blender, add the sugar and stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, add the vinegar, let cool down a little, stir in the tequila and let cool down completely. This strawberry tequila mixture can be kept in a sterile container in the refrigerator for approx. 1 - 2 months.
  4. For the cocktail of 2 limes, squeeze out the juice. Wash the third lime very hot, rub it dry and cut into small wedges. Wash the 250 g strawberries and cut into small pieces.
  5. To serve, divide the strawberry pieces as well as the lime juice and wedges between the cocktail glasses and fill up with strawberry tequila, some mineral water (to taste) and ice cubes.
