Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or cauldron. Add the peeled and finely chopped onion. Fry until light golden brown.
Cut the sausages into slices. Add to the onion and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Finely chop the cabbage, sprinkle with salt and remember β it will become softer and let the juice out.
We send cabbage to onions with sausages. Mix, add a couple of tablespoons of water.
Reduce heat, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the cabbage for about 15 minutes.
Now letβs add the tomato paste. If there is a lot of juice in the cabbage, you do not need to dilute the paste. If not enough, add a little water. Add pepper and bay leaves. Stir and simmer for another 30 minutes over low heat. Do not forget to stir periodically.
