Wash and clean the strawberries and cut into bite-sized pieces. Put in a bowl and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Mix the quark and milk until smooth. Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of sugar and desiccated coconut. Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the coconut curd.
Layer the strawberries and coconut quark alternately in dessert glasses and decorate with the coconut chips.
