Wash the strawberries and remove the green, peel off the rhubarb skin (strips), cut off the end pieces. Cut both into small pieces and heat them in a saucepan until they simmer. Add the preserving sugar, quickly grind about 2 thirds of it with a hand blender. Now add the juice of the lime and let it simmer for about 3 minutes with the preserving sugar 3: 1.
