First pound the schnitzel, then season with salt and pepper.
Cover one slice of cheese with tomato and onion slices and wrap a slice of boiled ham. Place a pack in each schnitzel and then close with wooden skewers.
Bread the wrapped schnitzel like a Wiener schnitzel in beaten eggs and breadcrumbs and bake golden brown on both sides in plenty of hot fat over moderate heat.
French fries or potato salad and fresh green salad go well with it.
