- Moisten a tea towel and wring it out lightly. Place the wafer / wafer sheet on one half of the towel and cover with the other half.
- Melt margarine with chocolate in a saucepan. Add sugar, walnuts, biscuits and vanilla sugar. Finally add the whisked egg yolk for better binding.
- Test whether the wafer / wafer sheet has already become pliable due to the moisture in the cloth. If not, leave the wafer / waffle in the cloth.
- If so, pour the entire mixture on top at once and distribute it on half the sheet. Now roll the whole thing up like a sausage.
- The best thing to do is to wrap it tightly in aluminum foil and let it stand and dry for at least 1 day.
- When the roll is dry, cut into thin slices for serving.
- This is a quick and easy cake that is not baked and can be easily frozen.
