Drain the cherries well. Mix the cherry juice with the cornstarch until smooth and bring to the boil while stirring. Then add the cherries and let cool.

First fill a lasagne dish with the mixed biscuits, then with the compote and then with quark and dust evenly with the brown cane sugar. Let it soak for at least 5 - 6 hours.
